Masuji Ibuse
Masuji Ibuse (井伏 鱒二 Ibuse Masuji, 15 February 1898 – 10 July 1993)
95 years of peaceful life - Nothing excited him, Nothing rattled him -
He aimed at being a painter, but failed and started writing.
His works ranged over various themes from an overgrown salamander to the war, and are entire in a disinterested eyes like a sketchbook.
One of his translations of Chinese poetry is vivid enough to attract the present reader.
